What is Super Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
For an olive oil to be Extra Virgin, it must meet a series of chemical requirements, as well as pass a tasting panel.
Premium EVOO must:
- Be pressed within six (6) hours of harvest
- Contain much higher levels of antioxidants, particularly vitamin E
- Contain very low fatty acids
And as if that’s not reason enough to choose our oils, EVOO has been seen to:
- Lower cholesterol levels

Our commitment to sourcing EVOO yields the freshest, most flavorful, and healthiest options, and ensures that every drop purchased at Newburyport Olive Oil adds the best nutritional value to your table.

What about your Balsamics?
As you peruse our dozens of EVOO options, turn the corner and voilà – we also carry top-notch balsamic vinegars! Our traditional-style balsamics are sourced from Modena, Italy, the seat of balsamic vinegar production since the Middle Ages – so you know it’s the best out there. The grapes used to make balsamics are pressed in autumn and aged in large wooden vats, yielding a sweet, acidic, highly concentrated vinegar, which is reflective of the precise climate, soil, and rich history of Modena. We carry traditional light and dark balsamics, as well as sweet- and savory-infused options. Ask our staff for their top picks and tips – the culinary possibilities are almost as numerous and varied as those of olive oil!
